DRAFT PROJECT FOR A NEW OLIVE PLANTATION IN SHD SYSTEM 400 Has
SUPER HIGH DENSITY PLANTATION SYSTEM
- 400 has we can estimate an olive production of 4000-4.800 tn during the lifetime of a SHD – Super High Density – olive plantation system, over 25 years.
- The olive oil content that we can get from the olive varieties used in SHD, like “arbequina”, in the olive mill will be round 16-18%.
- We can estimate a production between 640 – 864 tn of extra virgin olive oil.
- The harvest will be fully mechanized with olive harvesters that pass on the row.
- The cost of producing olive oil will be lower because all works will be mechanized (plantation, treatments, pruning, harvesting…)
